Rovers will be going head-to-head with the Scottish champions tonight in the UEFA Cup second round first leg tie. The match is set to be played at Celtic Park and kick off is 8.05 pm.
Speaking of tonight's game, Souness to an official source: "It's a big test for my young team coming here, but as for nerves, young players today are very different.
"The pressure of football in Glasgow is as intense as anywhere I have ever known. However, if you had played for Blackburn over the last couple of years, you would have experienced Old Trafford, Highbury, Anfield and the rest. Tonight's game has not been billed any differently for them.
"I know it will be a difficult game, but we are prepared. Celtic have won back-to-back championships, any champions must be a good team with good individuals.
"But I know we have a good team and I don't believe it will be decided tonight. This tie will be decided in two weeks time at Ewood Park.
"We are certainly not going for a draw, we don't have the players to do that, we are going there to win. Regardless of Celtic's current form, we have prepared to play a team which is at the peak of its form, you cannot approach it any other way.
"It's challenge and we will enjoy it, but whatever happens, the Premiership will always be our priority and I make no excuses for that. It is so important financially for a club to remain in the Premier League and that is my number one aim."
