"We felt that we deserved to get something out of the game but it's the same old story. We shot ourselves in the foot," the Rovers boss said after the 1-0 defeat.
"Nobody likes to concede goals from set-pieces but we knew the threat was there. We had talked about it but we didn't deal with it.
"Lady Luck's not been with us. It's hard for me to stand here and talk. There is a mixture of anger, frustration and feeling sorry for myself.
"I am angry because apart from the game against Liverpool when we were a man down we have done well but we have been mugged at Fulham and mugged tonight.
"Right now I am feeling a little sorry for myself and so are the team. The ball didn't fall kindly for us tonight. They have taken their one and only chance in the first half and that's made it difficult for us from there on in.
"We feel we have got good players here and feel Lady Luck has not been with us. We will work hard and we will get points, we will win games and we will have a decent season again."
