The Arsenal striker - set to be charged with violent conduct - could face a three-match ban if found guilty of the attack. Finding evidence against Bergkamp won't be hard - his violent escapades were caught on cameras recording the match for TV.
Bergkamp will be allowed 2 weeks to make an appeal against the FA charge.
Its not the first time this season that an Arsenal player has attacked - whether physical or verbal - the competition and/or game officials. Patrick Vieira was banned for two games after using insulting language against referee Andy D'Urso.
