The Turkey international was knocked of his bike by a car while cycling back to the team hotel in Waldhausen with the driver of the car not bothering to stop.

"He's very, very lucky because he could have been killed," said Rovers manager Graeme Souness.

"The guy in the car didn't even stop to see if he was okay.

"Apart from cuts and grazes to his arms and face, he escaped unharmed."
