Monday’s defeat at home to Manchester City could have been avoided if there had been a little more care taken in front of goal.
One point is now all that is keeping the club out of the drop zone, things have to get better and that must start to happen in the game against Bolton this weekend.
Samba also pointed out that their top scorer, Nikola Kalinic, has not been a regular in the side for the past couple of months while the rest of the side has only managed one goal in the last four games.
The big defender said: "If we don't score goals, we won't win matches, it's as simple as that.
"We showed better form against City and had shots on goal. We had some chances, put some good crosses into the box but couldn't score. We have to improve.
"What we have to do is to learn to put the ball into the back of the net.
"At this stage of the season, it all comes down to experience and knowing how to win these games.
"The quality teams know how to do that - and that's what we are missing."
