Talks between Galatasaray defender and Rovers underway

He claims to have signed a deal with Rovers, but the club are insisting that there is still lots to be sorted out before he becomes a Rovers player.

Unsal has worked with Graeme Souness before and is a friend of Rovers' midfielder Tugay.

Chief executive John Williams said: "We have entered into dialogue with Galatasaray. Graeme is very interested in the player and is hopeful of bringing him here.

"We will be working towards achieving that this week."
