Sutton Won't Be Returning

Weekend media reports had claimed that Rovers had made a bid for the former Ewood Park favourite but manager Graeme Souness has dismissed these reports.

"That's the type of striker that we need but we've got no money," Souness told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"Every goal we score has to be a perfect goal. We need someone to mix it up but we haven't got the cash to bring anyone in."
