Yordi, who has netted six goals for the La Liga outfit this season, is currently out of the first-team picture at La Romareda following the return of Savo Milosevic.
The player's agent, Pepe Navarro, confirmed last night that the pacy 27-year-old striker is poised to join Rovers after expressing his desire to play in the Premiership.
Yordi joined Zaragoza from Atlético Madrid four years ago, but the return of former Aston Villa striker Milosevic - who previously played for the Spaniards before joining Italians Parma after Euro 2000 - has forced him out of the first-team scene.
The striker, who has struck a total of 29 goals over the last four seasons, will provide cover and competition for Andy Cole and Matt Jansen following the recent departures of Marcus Bent and Ciccio Grabbi from Ewood Park.
