Samba speaks after signing a deal that would keep him at the club until 2015 recently, he has also been linked with a move to Arsenal of late, almost at a daily basis.
But Rovers boss Steve Kean does not want to lose another star defender, it’s something that Rovers can ill-afford after letting Phil Jones move to Manchester United earlier in the month.
Samba has revealed that he is eager to play at a higher level and hopes that the club would not attempt to stop him from fulfilling his dream.
Speaking to L'Equipe, Samba said: "For four-and-a-half years I have been at Blackburn and fought against relegation.
"If a good opportunity presents itself, I want to take it.
"I hope the club will understand if I want to make the step up and not prevent a deal."
