The 35-year-old left the field on a stretcher during Saturday's 1-0 win against Bolton at Ewood Park and at first it was feared that he would miss the trip to Upton Park.
But Salgado insists the injury is not too serious and he is looking to be available to boss Steve Kean.
"It was a hard kick and at first I couldn't feel my leg, I tried to walk but it was impossible," he told Radio Rovers.
"But after that everything is okay. So hopefully I'll be ready to train maybe Thursday to be ready to face West Ham in an important game."
