Striker Tom Hitchcock will be going to Peter Reids side after the south cost club won the race from a number of league one and two clubs who were interested in taking the 18 year old.
Hitchcock has been tipped for big things and is likely to find himself in Rovers’ first team sooner rather than later and Home Park is seen as the ideal place to further his education.
The player was in action at the weekend as the reserve side got back to work, he scored a hat trick and he has the management at the club buzzing with excitement.
He is now set to sign a three-month loan deal which Peter Reid would have loved to have made longer but Rovers are going to be keeping a very close eye on their young asset.
