"It's a big honour to be playing host to club like Blackburn Rovers," said Wrexham manager Brian Carey.
"We are delighted that they considered us for a friendly match and I hope that both teams will gain a great deal from the game.
"The season kicks off early for them, due to their participation in the Intertoto Cup, so this fixture will be an important part of their preparation for Europe.
"Teams like Newcastle United have used the competition as a springboard into the Uefa Cup, so I know Mark will be taking this build-up very seriously."
