The Norwegian left winger has been seemingly frozen out of the Rovers first team squad of late - just one start for Pedersen since Mark Hughes took charge at Ewood Park. However, an 'un-named' French club have asked to take the player on loan for the rest of the season, only for Hughes to snub the offer.
"Morten still has a strong part to play in my future plans", said Hughes. "We feel it is not the right time to bring him in at the moment, but he still has an important part to play this season. His time will come."
Rovers fans have yet to see the best of Pedersen since his £1.5million move from Norwegian outfit Tromso, but this news is likely to come as a timely boost for a player who is regarded to have bags of potential.
