Rovers in rival raid?

Burnley have slapped a £2million price tag on Chaplow's head, which could prove a stumbling block for Rovers, although Blackburn could offer out-of-favour defender Andy Todd as part of the deal. The England U21 International however, has also attracted the attention of other Premiership clubs such as Newcastle United and Everton.


Rovers boss, Graeme Souness, is a keen admirer of the tough-tackling hardman, and is willing to risk all of his transfer budget on a player who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in The Championship.
