The 21-year-old is ready to sign a four year deal with Rovers after a £6 million deal was struck with his current club Hajduk Split.
There doesn’t appear to be a reason why the player should not have his wish granted and the sooner the deal is done the better as far as Rovers fans are concerned as the club are in dire need of a regular goal scorer in the side.
Allardyce told the Evening Telegraph: "We will put up a very good case of course. We have a very, very good chance with a very, very talented player.
"He should be allowed to come and express his abilities in this country and show what he can do.
"He has a terrific goalscoring record. He is only 21 and scores one goal every 1.6 games. That is why we have forked out as much money as we have."
