The highly-rated 22-year-old has attracted the attention of a host of top clubs in the past, but Souness has revealed that he has made a concrete bid for the player. Souness told Sky Sports:
"We had a look at him last year but he was too expensive. We'll now go back to his club with a structured deal which, hopefully will be right for both clubs."
Pedersen comes with an excellent reputation for both his talent and his versatility, being able to play as a striker, left winger and attacking midfielder. The news comes as a boost for Rovers fans, as the club have never seemed to find the right replacement for Damien Duff who left the club for Chelsea last year.
Pedersen's club, Tromso who play in the Norwegian league, are expected to demand at least £2million for their most prized asset. This could end any interest in Burnley's Richard Chaplow.
