Robinson's signing will now allow Brad Friedel's proposed move to Aston Villa to go ahead. Friedel is due to hold talks with Villa after Rovers accepted a two- million pound offer from the Midlands side earlier this week but would not allow the deal to be completed until they had aquired a replacement keeper.
