Rovers themselves are still needing points to ensure that they are safe for next season and to get them points they must spoil United’s party.
And Roberts, who has been on a winning Rovers’ side before against United says that if it is anything to do with him, they will still need the point when they face Blackpool at Old Trafford next week.
"I've been part of teams who have beaten Manchester United at Ewood Park and it's a fantastic feeling. Maybe we can do that again," said Roberts.
"I wouldn't relish the opportunity to stop them winning the title but I'd relish the opportunity of beating Manchester United. It doesn't come round often in your career.
"They are worthy champions. They have been fantastic this season. But they have to come to Blackburn to get a result."
