Roberts Set To Stay

The striker handed in a transfer request after finding himself on the sidelines but was brought on and scored the winner at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday.

That goal has reminded manager Mark Hughes just what the thirty year old Grenada international is capable of.

Roberts signed from Wigan in the Summer of 2006 but has been plagued with injury ever since.

With his fine goal in Sundays game, coupled with the poor form of Benni McCarthy, Roberts is willing to fight for his place for the remainder of this season.
