Roberts Says He'll Score If Picked

Roberts gave manager Sam Allardyce a timely reminder of what he can do when he coolly turned home Rovers second goal of the game against Wigan on Saturday.

The striker has been limited as to the number of appearances he has made this season as he would have been off if a club had come in for him during the summer transfer window.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph Roberts said: "I am totally relaxed. My record in every league shows I can score goals so I am totally relaxed about it.

"It is no surprise if I come in and score goals, it is not a big deal, it is what you do. You miss some, you score some but you keep going.

"My record suggests I will score goals if I play so I am comfortable, will train hard, keep doing what I have done all my career, which got me here, and whatever happens, happens.

"I will endeavour to keep getting in the team and if selected I will do the best I can. That is what I have always done, whether I have played good, bad or indifferent."
