Speaking earlier in the week, Fulham midfielder Murphy claimed that managers were sending their sides out to play too pumped up, and inferred that Rovers, Stoke and Wolves were among those teams increasing the risk of serious injury on the field.
This prompted Sam Allardyce to demand an apology from Murphy on Thursday, and Robinson has fallen in behind his manager.
"It's very disappointing when a fellow professional feels the need to criticise other players," Robinson told Blackburn's official website.
"It came out of the blue and there was no relevance to it.
"When you look at the statistics over the past two or three years since the manager has come in, our record has been excellent. We've had one player sent off this calendar year.
"Our yellow and red card count last season when we finished 10th was much better than when Rovers finished 10th under Mark Hughes, so we are pleased with the way we go about our business here and we conduct ourselves correctly."
