Blackburn are amongst a host of clubs interested in acquiring the services of Stilian Petrov and a January move is expected to be made, however the player is looking to hold talks with Celtic before making up his mind about any move away from Scotland.
He has just 18 months of his current contract with the Scottish giants left to run and has been in cracking form so far this season, scoring half a dozen goals in his sixteen appearances.
And that includes a hat-trick in the 5-0 demolition of Motherwell at the weekend.
"I've had a few conversations with Celtic and in the next few weeks we'll meet again and see what is going to happen,” said Petrov.
"I've always been happy to play for this club and I'll continue like that. I've already told Celtic they'll be the first I speak to and find out what they're thinking and what we're going to do.
We'll see then if we can come to an agreement."
