The Norwegian has been with Rovers for eight years and marked that with a goal on Saturday which proved to be the winner against Leicester City.
The 30-year-old celebrated with a walking stick by way of response to Shebby Singh saying that he was now too old for football.
Pedersen told reporters: "I said earlier I am committed to Blackburn. I was one of the first people to say this.
"It is not always up to what you say, though. I am happy here - it is not always you see a footballer stay at a club so long. I have had offers to leave before but I have stayed.
"I can't control what people are saying. If I have a problem with someone, I will go and see them and sort it that way."
