Rovers are interested in the player according to the Daily Mirror but a price tag of £4 million is proving to be a stumbling block.
Reo-Coker cost Villa £7.5 million in 2007, but the player has had fallings out with boss Martin O’Neill so Villa are looking to offload.
But the price will have to come down to keep Rovers interested.
