The former Wimbledon player, who is currently on the books at Stabaek, is training with the Rovers squad this week in the hope of securing a move to Ewood Park.
"He comes highly recommended as a creative type of midfielder," Rovers boss Graeme Souness told the club's official website.
"I have seen tapes of him, I like what I saw so we have invited him over so we can get a closer look."
