In the much needed 1-0 win over Tottenham at Ewood Park on November 29, Gresko let fly a 25 yard bullet shot which took a wicked deflection off Spurs right-back Carr and crept in passed a helpless Kasey Keller.
However it has now been officially declared by the Premiership's Dubious Goals Committee that the goal should stand as an own goal, after Carr's attempted block.
An appeal was lodged by the club, however in this instance no review will take place, the decision must stand.
A dissappointment no doubt for the Rovers star, however both he and the fans will be hoping it won't be too long until he does get his now much anticipated first Blackburn goal.
