The versatile 19-year-old defender has been given a new three year contract at Ewood Park.

"I need to keep working hard and keep improving. My next target is to become a regular in the reserves and start pushing for a first-team place," he added.
"The first team are going well under Mark Hughes and it won't be easy to break into the side, but that is the challenge ahead of me."
