"Hopefully I will be able to get involved more, I started playing towards the end of the last season and if I can keep injury free and keep working hard then I will be able to play the games I really want to play," Douglas told Rovers official website.
"Nobody wants to be sitting in the bench or in the stands, but it's the gaffer who picks the side and if I'm not in it there's no point in crying about it, I've just got to work even harder and hopefully I'll be given a chance."
"The competition for midfield will increase but if I work hard at my game then hopefully the gaffer will give me the nod."
