Kean believes that is still a realistic target that he set himself and the team at the start of the season, especially if Yakubu can stay in the goalscoring frame of mind that he is in at the moment.
Although Rovers are still in the bottom three, Kean points out that they are only six points off being in the top half of the table.
Asked if the top 10 was still his aim, Kean said: “Definitely. We want to push on. We feel as if we are in a false position just now but we are here and we have got to keep winning games.
“We are not shy of goals. We are disappointed with the goals we have conceded but we have got a body back in Chris Samba. Once we get a full unit back, we will be much better.
“We will always score goals and when we have got the unit, we will climb the table fast.
“We’ve got a real nice run of games now. I would like to think over the next three games, Sunderland, West Brom and Bolton, we will get ourselves out of the position we are in.”
