The Croatia international is looking to leave Ewood Park and Ukrainian side Dnipro have reportedly lodged a bid of £6million - the price he cost Rovers from Hajduk Split two years ago. Rovers owners Venky's appear to be holding out for more but Erceg believes his client is unlikely to play for the club again.
Kalinic is currently at home in Croatia and not in the Far East with Rovers, who are playing in the Barclays Asia Trophy. "It is a bad situation for Nikola," Erceg is reported as saying in the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He is at home because the team is in Hong Kong and what else can he do? We have our fingers crossed something will happen in the next couple of days but we just don't know.
"It has gone on a for a long time and nothing has been sorted. Nikola just wants to play football. It is a crazy situation because it looks impossible for him to play football at Blackburn."
