The Rovers striker joined the Tractor Boys on an initial one month loan deal last week and made his first appearance for the club in their 2-1 home win against QPR on Saturday.
"I think Ipswich wanted me until the end of the season but Mark Hughes wasn't too keen on that so I've come here for a month and we'll see how it goes," he has told the official Ipswich Town website.
"But if it goes well for me here and Blackburn and Ipswich are happy then I wouldn't see a problem with me staying until the end of the season."
