McCarthy unlikely to tinker
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is expected to keep faith with an unchanged line-up when Blackburn visit Portman Road.
McCarthy made one change for Saturday's trip to Charlton as left-back Aaron Cresswell returned from suspension and he was rewarded with a 1-0 success at The Valley.
With Town winless on home soil in three attempts, McCarthy, who has no new injury or suspension concerns, is unlikely to tinker with that winning formula.
Striker Paul Taylor continues to struggle with a shoulder injury but midfielder Luke Hyam has recovered from a back problem and could make the bench.
Loanee Rudy Gestede will come into Blackburn's squad for the first time.
The forward, borrowed from Cardiff last week, missed the weekend win over Leeds due to a minor knock yet he has trained and comes into the reckoning for the clash at Portman Road.
Lee Williamson will also travel after overcoming Friday night's migraine which meant he too was absent against the Whites, while fellow midfielder Jason Lowe, who recently penned a new deal at Ewood Park, could make his 100th appearance for the club.
Goalkeeper Paul Robinson (back) is expected to step up his training this week when he participates in small contact games but Dickson Etuhu and Corry Evans (both ankle) are some way off yet.
