Invasion at Ewood!

With the impending arrival of 150 coach loads of Celtic fans looming, preparation is under way to ensure everything goes as smoothly, and safely, as possible.

With a place in the next round of the Uefa Cup up for grabs, the match will see thousands of Celtic supporters flocking to Blackburn for the 2nd part of "The Battle of Britain". Part one ended tragically for Blackburn after Henrik Larsson put a late goal in the back of the Rovers net giving Celtic a single-goal lead, evidently enough to send them home the winners.

When asked to comment on the security and safety issues surrounding the match, a police spokesperson said: "There is going to be an enormous interest in this game and that will be reflected in the packed-house attendance.

"With so many away supporters travelling down then it's obviously going to be slightly different to a normal Premiership game.

"However, we have plans in place to deal with the large number of fans, so everything should run smoothly."

Due to the expected crowd congestion, Rovers are advising their supporters to arrive at Ewood as early as possible. It's thought that people will miss the kick-off if they aren't there early enough to beat the last minute crowds...
