"I thought Brad Friedel was excellent, not just with his penalty saves but his performance all afternoon. He has been an outstanding keeper for a number of years," Hughes said after the game.
On the penalty decisions the Rovers boss said: "I felt ours was a penalty and theirs were the wrong decisions.
"I imagine Neil Warnock will say differently. I feel if we had scored the penalty we would have gone on to win the game.
"The second was never a penalty, Lucas controlled the ball with his chest but the referee decided to give a penalty.
