"We are disappointed at losing the game but I don't really think either side deserved to win," the Rovers boss said after the 1-0 defeat.
"We were naive at the end to lose a goal at such a late stage. We should have been capable of seeing the game out.
"I wasn't happy with our first-half display, there was too much sloppy passing and it wasn't good enough.
"We have to be far more consistent, especially away from home and we obviously need to start winning more games."
