Hoilett put Kean`s side 2-0 up, adding to the winner he scored in the FA Cup against QPR two weeks ago. A Gabriel Tamas own goal gave Blackburn the lead.
Kean said: "We see it every day in training and it's just good that everyone's seeing it on the pitch because he's a quality player and I think he's a match-winner when he's on that form."
He added: "I think we played some nice stuff. There were key moments in the game, especially from Paul Robinson keeping us in it at times, but I thought overall we were good value for the three points."
