"I thought we were excellent in the first half, trapping Tottenham in areas they didn't want to be and also creating chances ourselves," he said after the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.

"We were good value for our lead. We are disappointed with their goal because we weren't under huge pressure.

"It wasn't to be, but overall I felt it was probably a drawn game and that was as much as either team could expect.

"The only disappointment on the night was the sending-off of Jason Roberts.

"I felt it was unnecessary and it has just taken the edge of things."
