Redknapp emerged as a possibility for the job after he let it be known that he would like to have talks after a news story said that Rovers were interested in him.
Redknapp has been out of management since leaving White Hart Lane at the end of last season. The favourite to take over from Fabio Capello was recently linked with going to QPR to sort out the mess they are in, but that rumour was quashed when Mark Hughes was given the vote of confidence from the board.
I feel that Redknapp of course would be a great replacement for Steve Kean and I'm sure a lot of Rovers fans think the same. There is the problem that Rovers are said to prefer a younger man for the job.
There is also the question of whether Redknapp could operate in the north after all his managerial appointments have been in the south, three of them on the south coast.
Hopefully we will find out soon if we have Harry as our new leader, but there have been so many names linked with the job and so much disagreement by the people in charge that we don't know what will happen just yet.
