It's only speculation that is flying around at the moment, but it's another name to talk about on the various forums and newsgroups.
The BBC say that Gullit has had talks with his agent about getting his name put forward for the job.
Gullit has hardly set the world alight as a manager in the posts that he has held so far with his last job being with Russian side Terek Grozny last year,
Closer to home are the names Gary Flitcroft and Paul Dickov who the Telegraph report are very interested in the job.
Both have had experience as managers, Dickov has spent two years in charge of Oldham, while former Rovers captain Flitcroft has been in charge of Chorley in the Northern Premier League since May 2010.
A name that the newspaper feel is not going to have a chance of the job is Sven Goran Eriksson, they say that "senior figures" at Rovers feel he does not fit the bill.
