"After seeing the challenge it's not a great one,said Rovers boss Graeme Souness.
"You can't blame the referee because the pace of the game today is such that things will be missed. He is one of the best referees around and today he got most things right.
"I got excited a couple of times because I felt there were a couple of challenges which could have led to injuries to players.
"The man in the street who pays his money likes to see aggression on a football pitch. It's something I encourage my team to be.
"But sometimes that can cause people problems as it did today, either the one receiving it or the one giving it."
