However, manager Mark Hughes has revealed that Jansen should be ok by next weekend when Rovers visit West Ham for their opening game of the new Premiership season.
"It was a terrible challenge, pre-season friendlies are supposed to be for the benefit of both teams, its a chance to play your football and get your fitness, but I think they came with entirely the wrong attitude towards the game. I just thought it was a poor challenge, but thankfully we hope Matty is ok," Hughes told the clubs official website after the game.
"I did fear for the boy but it looks like he's got away with it and thankfully so. He'll be sore tomorrow but it looks like he's got away with it."
