It looks like Graeme Souness will have the pick of the pack, with skipper Garry Flitcroft returning after suspension and the FA cup-tied Andy Cole should also start.
Damien Duff has been declared fit and is likely to start.
Assistant manager Tony Parkes confirmed this morning: "Damien was left out at the weekend, but has recovered from injury and is hopeful of playing in the semi-final."
"Getting to the Worthington Cup Final and staying in the Premier League would represent a good season for Blackburn Rovers at this stage."
Asked about the demands of cup replays and two games a week, he added: "It's all part and parcel of football these days. And Englaish fans have been brought up on that. You are bound to get injuries, but we have a big squad to cope."
