Rovers come up against a Birmingham side who has suddenly found their form, lifting themselves up to eighth in the table.
Ferguson was not exactly a big hit when he was at Rovers, but claims that was down to injuries, not the fact that he was hopeless.
He said: "It is just another game. I had two years at Blackburn and enjoyed myself there - but now I am enjoying myself at Birmingham.
"The last six months of my time up the road (at Rangers) was not the most enjoyable but I am back to enjoying football and playing every game."
Ferguson added: "I had a knee-cap injury at Blackburn. A lot of people said I didn't enjoy my time there. That was not the case.
"I have not got a point to prove. I started off well but then I got the bad injury. I came back from it and I played a lot of games for Blackburn. I did well. I was captain there."
