Dunne, who has not played for Rovers since the 3-3 draw with Sunderland on January 25th, returns to the squad for the game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
"It's great to be back. The last few months have been really frustrating as I haven't been able to get going," Dunne said on Friday morning.
"I feel fine though, all I want to do is put the injuries behind me, win a consistent place in the team and have a strong end to the season.
"In terms of the future I'm a Blackburn player and as everyone knows I'm a Blackburn fan so there's no reason to go elsewhere. I'm going to keep my head down, work hard and stay fit," he added.
"It was only last August that I was in the England reckoning and it's nice to hear talk of me being a future international. But I've only one goal at the moment and that's to play well for Blackburn Rovers."
