The 29-year-old is hoping to get in more games in the up and coming season as opposed to the 17 appearances he made last term because of injury.
An Achilles injury kept the midfielder out of the run in last term but he is determined to be ready for a new challenge.
Dunn told Sky Sports News: "Obviously there's a couple of us this year, obviously Brett Emerton had a serious knee injury, likewise did Steven Reid and there's myself - so we'll be in there working hard all summer.
"We've got a great backroom staff, great physios at the club, great doctor so I am just hoping that all three of us can get back into contention pretty quickly."
