Diouf has hit the net four times since joining from United on loan at the start of the season, including a hat trick in the Carling Cup against Norwich and another against Arsenal in the Premier League last week.
And this weekend he is in a win, win situation if he can manage a goal that earned Rovers something from the game against Manchester City at Eastlands. Both Rovers and United fans would then hold him in hero worship.
“Being here at Blackburn been quite good for me,” said Diouf to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
“I’m just trying to enjoy it as much as I can.
“I have made the right decision coming here.
“It was a good thing for me to come here because the only thing I wanted to play games, so as long as I’m playing it’s good.
“For me it’s not about getting attention from United now. It’s about working hard for the team I’m playing for.
“Now I’m playing for Blackburn so I have to give my best here.
“I will be focused on Blackburn now and we will see after.”
