The 24 year old has been on the sidelines with a groin problem since December 17 and at first it was feared that he would be out of action until February.
But now it is revealed that Dann could take his place in the line up at Goodison Park when Rovers take on Everton next week.
"Scott has made great progress," Kean told the clubs official website.
"It was originally thought that he would be sidelined for at least six weeks, but he is back training inside a month and very close to returning to match action, which is obviously great news."
