Rovers, under the late Jack Walker have had a roller-coaster ride in the last ten years, winning the Premiership, but also suffering the humiliation of relegation. Rovers are back on the up and the book is bang up to date with entries including recent signings like Barry Ferguson.
The book doesn't just tell the story of the last decade though, it also covers Rovers' illustrious history, including FA Cup Finals, local derbies, riots, high-scoring games, famous captains and managers, highs and lows and much much more. The book is well illustrated and at a cover price under £10 is a must buy for any Rovers fan.
Many fans will be more than interested in the mini-biographies of Rovers greats. The likes of Eddie Quigley, Ronnie Clayton who still works in Rovers Hospitality, Glen Keeley, Howard Kendall, Simon Garner, Alan Shearer will bring the memories flooding back. Shearer is still one of Rovers most prolific scorers, netting 128 goals in all competitions in just 162 games before his then record £15 million move to Newcastle. Rovers all time top league scorer remains the ever popular Simon Garner with 168 league goals.
The stars of the current team, Tugay, Brad Friedel, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke for example are also included as is manager, Graeme Souness, who has also written the foreword for the book.
