Blackburn V Reading at Ewood Park - Match Preview

Rovers to monitor Rochina

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer will continue to monitor Ruben Rochina ahead of the clash with Reading.

Rochina is close to making a full recovery from the shoulder injury that has kept him out since the first game of the season, and after playing in a training game earlier this week, the 22-year-old could be included in Bowyer's matchday squad.

DJ Campbell serves the final game of the three-match ban he picked up for his sending-off in the 2-2 draw with Blackpool.

Midfielder David Dunn (knee) made his first appearance since August 31 when he came off the bench in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton. He could make his long-awaited return to the starting line-up.

Royston Drenthe and Danny Williams could return to the Reading squad for the trip.

Winger Drenthe and midfielder Williams are back in training after recovering from foot injuries and manager Nigel Adkins will decide whether they are fit enough to be involved.

But left-back Wayne Bridge has undergone knee surgery and is set to be sidelined until the new year, joining long-termers Jem Karacan (cruciate) and Jason Roberts (hip) on the casualty list.

Midfielder Mikele Leigertwood played for the Royals' Under-21s this week, his first match action since a summer ankle op, but he is some way from a return to the first team.
