Marshall set for Rovers bow
New signing Ben Marshall could make his Blackburn debut at Ewood Park against Bolton.
The Salford-born winger returned to the north west on Wednesday after joining for an undisclosed fee from Sky Bet Championship rivals Leicester.
Centre-back Matt Kilgallon could also pull on a Rovers shirt for the first time as he has returned to full training this week along with fellow groin-injury victim Corry Evans, who has been restricted to just one substitute appearance so far.
Midfielder Lee Williamson (back) is in light training yet Ruben Rochina (shoulder), Paul Robinson (back), Dickson Etuhu (knee), DJ Campbell (ankle) and Adam Henley (hamstring) all remain on the sidelines.
Bolton's injuries are mounting as they look to win for the first time this season.
Wanderers have had the long-term injuries of defender Joe Riley and midfielders Mark Davies and Stuart Holden (all knee) to contend with since the start of the season and their list of absentees is only growing.
Midfielder Chris Eagles (ankle) has still not featured since coming off against Burnley in the first game of the season while full-back Marc Tierney (groin), defender Tim Ream (hamstring) and striker Craig Davies (ankle) all missed out against Tranmere on Tuesday night - a contest which David Wheater also sat out after injuring himself in the warm-up.
Summer signing Andre Moritz came off the bench and impressed in the Capital One Cup shootout defeat, so may make his first start.
